Session 1

Five people, all the sons of nobles, were requested to return home to Pellevow. D'Aellinar, Semavyr, Hodder, Himool and Faarg. However, when they arrived only sadness, anger and confusion was there to greet them. The parents of the five were murdered in the night only days before they returned. A marker was left on each body, the King Tarot card which linked each death together. Two other noble families were murdered as well in successive nights, this time with warnings as to whom and when. This murderer was either stupid, or very confident, and as it turns out, this murderer is very good at what they do.

The five individuals have now returned and they all attended the mass funeral for the lost family members. However the priest was not what he seemed and he changed right before their eyes into a faceless creature. After defiling the dead corpses unarmed men scaled the walls of the chapel and began killing civilians. The five sons would not stand for any further disrespect towards their parents and put and end to the evil crew.

A short time later the five were rounded up and brought to the Hall of Justice where they were told the limited information available to the guards of the city. They were also informed of the current state of the city which was a torrent of chaos when compared to the natural state of Pellevow. Guards are stretched thin across the city and crime is surging more than ever before. People have become bolder, taking advantage of the chaos. After hearing this, some reluctantly, others honoured, the five decided to become one unit lead by a local guard named Garrick, and track down and kill this phantom killer.

The group took a well deserved break at the Blunt Claymore but after what seemed only like a few moments another threat letter was delivered to the Hall of Justice. The note like the others said whom and when the phantom killer would strike, but it also said “And with his death, down will come his house.”
